Welcome From the President

As the 21st century transforms the world into a knowledge-based society, there is an increasing need for individuals to be well-educated and highly skilled. These global trends impact and challenge communities and post-secondary institutions that serve them. Parkland College is committed to creating and delivering an innovative continuum of learning to stimulate individual, community and economic growth and to providing and celebrating quality learning and service to students.

This commitment to students is exemplified in all areas of the college – through individual student attention and support, well-trained and caring instructors, celebration of student successes, learning and service options and a safe, secure and supportive environment.

And to build on this commitment, we are working hard on accessibility initiatives, including new programs in response to community and business needs, new e-learning capabilities for distance learning and new and expanded student scholarships.

Our success can be measured through the growth and innovation of the college programs, services, student enrollments and staffing complement. We are implementing a new 5 year Strategic Plan (2007-2012) which emphasizes opportunities for Aboriginal learners and Newcomers to Canada, international student recruitment and education experience and for workforce development both in skills development and re-training.

The entire Parkland team is ready to welcome you to any one of our five campuses in Melville, Yorkton, Fort Qu’Appelle, Canora or Esterhazy. Parkland Regional College is a great place to be, with a wide range of services to meet the needs of every student regardless of culture, age, gender or ability.
